Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of theatrical performance. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, then began more intense singing training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young scholar and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition in the present.
